This Has Got To Be The Wierdest "Fall" I've Ever Remember
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but for fall, it sure doesn't feel like fall ro me. Usually by now, there is a real feel of chilliness in the air. The kind of weather that requires a light jacket...but here I am here in the Big Apple, and I'm still wearing shorts, a sleeveless top and my sandals...I don't EVER remember being so warm this long. I remember this, as we have a real "lovely" landlord, and he adamantly has his rule that we can't get heat until October 15th or later, yet, and usually by this time it's so chilly in the apartment it feels like a barn, and I have to drag out my heavy blankets to kept warm at night...not so now. I still have my fans blowing to keep cool. So what gives with this weird weather...The leaves haven't even changed into spectacular colors yet. Is anyone else experiencing a warmer than usual fall season? And I just bet, that one day it'll be in the 80s like it has been, and next we'll probably get snow! LOL
Very rude and vulgar response to my ad on Craigs List from some guy....
I posted an ad under etcetera/part time for Hits 4 Pay - not with my link my just a general.."not a job position nor ploy to earn your own business but an honest way to earn some extra money from home" and this guy contacted me via email and wrote that I was spamming and legit jobs don't post on Craigs list. I wrote back saying that this was not a job but a way to make some extra money and if he was not interested in finding out more info - he should not send me an email because now he is spamming me. He wrote back saying that once I posted on a public forum I am allowed to be contacted by anyone and everyone and that it is against the law what I am doing and is spam and F' off and called me rude and vulgar names and said all this nasty stuff about my ad. Albeit maybe you're not allowed to post an ad like this on Craigs List but this guy took it a little too far. If he wanted to report me as spam and flag me with Craigs List (which he did because my ad got flagged and he told me he did it) that's one thing but to actually keep sending me nasty emails...Get a life!! I was thinking about responding and saying maybe he should find a job instead of searching Craigs list for spam. Then...
Is anyone else planning on going to law school?
Where do you want to go to law school? What area(s) of law interest you the most? Why do you think you want to practice law? Are you majoring in Political Science or something unrelated to law?I'm a Spanish/Applied Linguistics major and I'm planning on attending law school starting in the fall of 2008. I'd*really* like to go somewhere in New York City or Boston, since that's where I'm originally from and there seem to be a lot of great opportunities. I'd like to practice disability/mental health law with an emphasis on education and children (especially teenagers). Who knows, though, I might find out that I love real estate law or something.
Real estate business
Is real estate business worth attention for a life time investment but my though change when i visited this blogs site. http://real-estate-deal.blogspot.com
Personal Finance Problems (Credit, Real Estate, Debt)
I am in search of advice and possible solutions, if at all possible. Just like many other Americans, I am feeling a financial squeeze, and I am not sure what the best path would be for me to take to get back on more solid ground. First, some background:I inherited a very old, frame house in 2007 that also has an adjacent lot and in need of repairs ("AS-IS"). I also live in a very low-income, depleted area where most homes have already gone into foreclosure, and/or selling very low. My home, a multi-family 3-unit, was once worth about $250k, was listed for $150k, and is now at $119k. I have been trying to sell the place on/off--at least 3-times--since I inherited it, but have had no takers. I was really hoping to sell by this year so that I could have a fresh start in a new and better direction. However, I am now struggling just to make ends meet.I have a lot of credit card debt now, paying on a $56k HE loan (2 yr.), and my income is not allowing me to save any kind of money. In fact, my savings are being depleted and I am basically living paycheck to paycheck now. My property taxes for the house AND lot average around $4600/yr., and I won't be able to pay them at all after...
Does Real Estate in Your Country(region) Worth Inventing?
I understand that house prices in some countries are skyrocketing whereas some countries' housing bubbles are cracking. What do you think about the real estate marketing in your country?Do people have faith in the investment on real estate,or,would they rather invest in paper equity?
11 year old owns 44 million USD in real estate
The 11 year old son of the President of Azerbaijan owns 44 million dollars in real estate, yet Azerbaijan is listed as being a rather poor and corrupt country. I just find this absolutely ludicrous that a child has so much when so many are starving.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/04/AR2010030405390.html?g=0
Will You Consider Invest in Real Estate in Emerging Markets
Emerging Markets such as China have seen a rapid growth even during the turmoil after the breakout of the credit crunch.Properties in the fast developing countries have become hotter under the support of low interest and high implied volitiliy of the asset prices. With the foreseeable rise of national income and investment return, will you consider to invest in the emerging markets?
real estate photographers
Is anybody here a real estate photographer? I'm curious how much the pay is, I'm curious if it's worth the while, etc. Of course, your experience may not be my experience, but I'd still like to hear yours.
