myLot Discussions| Justice chief cheated in law school | | PCIJ dug up dirt on the embattled Justice chief Al Agra. They say that he cheated in Law School in one of his subjects. He and six of his classmates were accused of cheating in Wills and Succession. But unfortunately, he became the fall guy for the group. He was the only one who owned up to it, and he had to re-take the subject. His friends came from influential families, one was allegedly a senator's son.The report also speculated that he might be doing this for her daughter's tennis career, who is supposedly the beneficiary of government grants and scholarships. What do you think? Do you think that Acting Secretary Al Agra has a history of being a fall guy? Is he GMA's fall guy this time? Or is it something deeper than that?

| | Law school or psychology | | I have a question: Law school or psychology
I hate two more years until I finish high school and I do not know which collage to follow..So i thought to ask up if you know some ups and downs or just leave some personal opinions! Law is a money maker...but knowing i will defend people I might avoid in normal life and psychology is a one of my favorites orientations but i do not know how much I'll earn and what possibilities can it unfold ..So please help me!
Have you followed any of these schools?
Do you have a law or psychology related jobs?
Do you have a good income and still be able to have a social life or good free time?
Does it affects your mind[ don't worry,I can be heartless sometimes so you don't really have to answer this!]
| | If I'm bad at poly sci, will I survive law school? | | Glancing into the future (about 5 years out), I have to say..I'm not all that good at political science. Which can sometimes play a huge role in majoring in pre-law in undergraduate school and moreso in law school. If I don't have a very good grasp of political science, do you think law school is out of the question? | |
| | best law school | | Some say that lawyers are born and not made. But I think otherwise. There is also a notion that only the best law school/college/ university can produce lawyers but I think the contrary. Some law firms even accept only lawyers who are graduates of reputable schools. Having been said, for you, what would be the best law school? | |
| | President Obama steadied law at Harvert law school so this he knows by haert | | The best prove of evident is always the document
behind a document,is it wrong for American citizens to ask President Obama for the document behind the document?(The Legal document behind the document of COLB)Lawyers and legal thinkers will, obviously, argue the finer points of the "Best Evidence Rule" and its applicability to this matter. But, that misses the point. The notion of "Best Evidence" is solidly-grounded in law. This is an important public matter and it seems now that the President has started down the path of offering some evidence (Certificate of Live Birth), he should offer the "best evidence" (Original Birth Certificate) which is the source document for his birth. The document behind the document which has been released. This is what is needed now in the court of public knowledge.http://nebraska.statepaper.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2009/08/05/4a79c4716da39
| | Law School | | Life before law school: I get to admire everything, from the great laywers that are product of good school, to the struggles that you have to face. Everything seems to invite me to take up the course. So I had decided to enter the challenge. I took up the entrance exam, paid for the tuition and all that. I thought "I am definitely going to love it here!" I thought I was ready for everything, even for the horrifying moments of humiliation they say everyone has undergone from the sometimes a bit to cruel professors. But when I got law school I realized, I really haven't experienced anything like this before. And to tell you the truth, I'm still struggling as of now, balancing my time as a trainee for my new job, going to school at nights, and studying (or you could say cramming) during every free time I could get. But I think I'll want to survive from this "survival of the fittest" program.
Any advice? | |
| | White House refuses to release president's law school records | | A United States inspector uncovers bundles of money paid out to one of Obama's pet programs and to his political pal last month and Obama illegally fire the United States inspector saying the man was senile.
In an appearance on the New York-produced "Inside City Hall" television show, octogenarian Harlem lawyer Percy Sutton – whose clients included Malcolm X – explained that Islamic radical Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, "one of the world's wealthiest men," asked him to write a letter of recommendation to Harvard Law School for then relatively unknown Barack Obama.
The white house is claiming Percy Sutton is senile and confused he never wrote a letter on behalf of Barack Obama as a student at Harvard law school.
Barack Obama refuses to summit his Harvard law school financial records, dose it seem Obama has a problem with release his information?(Percy Sutton wrote letter on behalf of Obama below)President Obama's unwillingness to allow the American public to see his records at Harvard Law School prevents resolution of a continuing controversy over whether radical Islamic influences promoted his admission and financed his legal education there. In an appearance...

"So I decided to take the test to see how I would do ... it was easy. I studied a week before the test."<
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/mar/07/brazilI think its amazing that he could pass it, and while he is not going ot enroll any time soon, because he still has to graduate first, I wouldn't be surprised if down the road he passes it again, and eventually fulfills his dream of a federal judge.Do you know any kids who are smart like this, or do you think the test was too easy and he got lucky
